Frequently Asked Questions
Planning to buy a puppy in Murfreesboro? Find answers about breeder information, paperwork and visiting Puppyland before choosing a puppy.
Where do your puppies come from?
From USDA-licensed breeders and some hobby breeders. We review USDA inspection reports for licensed breeders. Each puppy's listing shows the breeder name and USDA license number, or identifies a hobby breeder.
Do the puppies see a veterinarian?
Yes. Each puppy is checked by a veterinarian at least twice: once at the breeder and once after arriving at our store.
How are puppies transported?
In a climate-controlled van with food, water and two trained animal care staff.
Do all of your puppies find homes?
We work to match puppies with families prepared for the long-term responsibility of caring for a dog. The time it takes varies, and we do not promise a placement timeline. See our available puppies and ask about a specific puppy before planning your visit.
Will my puppy be registered?
Registration paperwork depends on the puppy. Ask which registry applies and review the Pet Protection Bundle before you decide.
Is DNA testing accurate?
DNA tests can provide information about a dog's ancestry, but results depend on the test provider's reference data and methods. A result may differ from registration paperwork and should not be treated as proof of breed status on its own. Ask the test provider about its limitations and review the puppy's breeder and registration documents before buying.
